The 2005 Chteau Filhot has a simple pineapple and wax resin bouquet that needs just a little more precision. The palate is nicely balanced and straightforward, the acidity nicely judged, though just a tad conservative toward the finish. It represents a decent Sauternes that goes about its job with the minimum of fuss. Wine Advocate 86 points
